Why Should You Come to WorshipGod UK?

IMG_2058-e1390233153767_FotorI’m looking forward to a number of WorshipGod events in 2014 that include the Dominican Republic (July 3-6 at La IBI), and Orange County, CA (July 16-19).

But in about 6 weeks (5-8th March), we’ll be at the Forum in Bath, UK, for not only the first WorshipGod event in 2014, but our very first conference in the UK, with the theme, “Called to be Faithful.” I’m excited to be joined by some good friends from the UK including Stuart Townend, Mike Reeves, Nathan and Lou Fellingham, Philip Percival of EMU Music, and others. I’m also looking forward to bringing some friends from the States, including Jeff Purswell and Craig Cabaniss, two of my favorite preachers, my son, Devon, and a few folks from my home town of Louisville, Kentucky. For more specific reasons why I’m looking forward to the check out the post I wrote earlier this month.

Each time a conference ends I marvel at how God orchestrates events to encourage and equip those who come. I expect the same will happen at WorshipGod UK. But in case you’re wondering if you should come, here are a few words of encouragement from folks outside of Sovereign Grace.

Can I strongly urge you and your worship team to book in if you haven’t done so already?  You will be inspired, refreshed, informed and equipped, and you will be making an invaluable investment not only into the worshipping life of your church, but into your own personal relationship with Christ. Stuart Townend

I always look forward to a WorshipGod conference with great anticipation. The WorshipGodUK event will be my sixth overall, and each has been one of the highlights of my year. The general sessions, the breakout seminars, and the fellowship before and after each combine for a rich time of edification. Bob Kauflin and his staff put so much God-centered thought into how to make the event one that exalts Christ and builds up the church. And the SGM folks are among the best I’ve ever seen at hospitality. All in all it adds up to a conference well-worth the time and cost to attend. Don Whitney

Personally, I can’t wait for WorshipGod UK.  Just have a look at the extraordinary seminar line-up!  There’s never been anything like this before in the UK, with such opportunity for spiritual refreshment as well as such thorough equipping.  Here’s a chance to delve more deeply into true, hearty worship; it is an opportunity to be grabbed with both hands. Mike Reeves

Throughout eternity the Father has delighted in his Son and the Son has delighted in his Father through the Holy Spirit. The amazing things is that through the grace of the gospel we get to share that delight. I’m looking forward to WorshipGod UK because it will be a great opportunity not only to explore the theology and practice of worship, but also to join the Trinity in this mutual joy they have in one another. Tim Chester

We’re both going to be involved in an exciting new conference called ‘Worship God UK’. It’s being hosted by Grace Church Bristol and is led by Bob Kauflin – a good friend from the United States. There is a fantastic line up of contributors and we’d thoroughly recommend you getting there if you can. Prices go up at the weekend — so get in quick! Nathan and Lou Fellingham

God rejoices over us with singing, and we reflect that delight when we rejoice in him too.  So I’m really looking forward to being at the conference. Bob Kauflin and his musicians have had a great impact on me personally as well as the church I’ve been part of.  The combination of deep, clear, biblical theology with good contemporary music and a fresh sound is a great gift to us. We can listen to the songs in the car and sing them at church as well,  which shows they’re hitting their mark well. This is music to clear the mind, warm the heart, refresh the soul and strengthen tired warriors – I can’t wait! Chris Green

More endorsements can be found over at the WorshipGod UK blog.  Whether you’re a pastor, church planter (first 20 get in for free!), worship leader, musician, vocalist, songwriter, drummer, guitarist, bass player, keyboardist, or techie, I think you’ll benefit from WorshipGod UK. And Nathan Smith, pastor of Grace Church in Bristol, just posted on why even non-musicians will benefit from the conference.

Rates go up 25th January, so spread the word and I hope to see you there!
