Desiring God National Conference 2008

A few months ago I was shocked to receive an invitation to speak at John Piper’s National Conference, The Power of Words and the Wonder of God, at the end of September. Shocked for two reasons. First, that I was asked. Second, that it came on the last two days of my vacation with my family. I checked with my dear wife, as well as my friends, and everyone thought I should accept the invitation. Julie’s only request was that I fly back to the Outer Banks to drive home with the family on Sunday. I checked with John and he graciously accommodated my request. I’ll be speaking on the topic of “What Happens When We Sing?” Here’s the trailer for the conference.

  2. Bob, it will be a very incredible moment at the DG conference, God bless you to bless others.
    I’m a worship leader from Mexico City, I’ve been affected for your teachings about worship… God has worked out a lot with me lately, i have a burden in my heart for worship teams in Mexico… i would like to have a conversation with you… please email me if you have the time… Thanks God for Bob. Thanks Bob for showed me how to get back to our Mighty God.

  3. I heard about this conference through your site, I’ve never heard of it before. I was interested enough to check my calendar to see if I could go! Not many conferences motivate to do that… : ) God bless- I hope the best for you that week.

  5. That’s great, I’ve never been in a DG conference, but they tell me is amazing. John Piper has been a great deal of influence in my life. I know is going to be a great experience.
