Your post on comparison reminds me of your talk on the fear of man. I thank God for what he showed you in your life, and that I heard it yesterday. You told my story, too. Comparison and the fear of man are so, so deceitful. "The fear of man is a snare." Prov. 29:25. I've been a believer for 29 years, but at long last I'm learning what it cost Christ to bring us grace. I'm reminded of 1 Corinthians 12:5-- "If the foot should say, 'Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' that would not make it any less a part of the body." I loved your last paragraph. I hope your readers don't overlook it. Humble gratitude can have such a tremendous impact on us, in terms of helping us to cease such unhealthy comparisons. Thanks!
