Bob,

I attended Sovereign Grace of Frederick yesterday and heard you speak. Your post on comparison reminds me of your talk on the fear of man.

I thank God for what he showed you in your life, and that I heard it yesterday. You told my story, too. Comparison and the fear of man are so, so deceitful. "The fear of man is a snare." Prov. 29:25.

I've been a believer for 29 years, but at long last I'm learning what it cost Christ to bring us grace.

Thanks for allowing God to use you.

Steve

Bob,

Thanks for taking the time to do the Pgh. Seminars 4 Worship! Really appreciated your heart for helping others discover the essence of worship.

Through you God challenged all eight of the people we brought... and as one young man and myself sat in your "tensions" workshop he said "everybody on the team should have heard this... just this session was worth the whole trip..."

Thanks Brother... keep pressing on!
1 Cor. 15:58!

Bob,

Ask that precious brother Baloche about the songwriting class he taught at the Integrity seminar in N.C. (the one where he couldn't figure out how to turn the keyboard on, nearly knocked down some sort of gigantic speaker/tower thing, and then was forced to take the whole class outside due to a "more important" function scheduled for the room we were in.) He is almost as humble as you!

Great post as usual Bob. I cannot speak to your golf (could you be as bad as me?), but I am grateful for the gifts that God has given you and for your faithfulness in using them.

Thanks, Bob, for this helpful reminder. I'm reminded of 1 Corinthians 12:5-- "If the foot should say, 'Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' that would not make it any less a part of the body."

I loved your last paragraph. I hope your readers don't overlook it. Humble gratitude can have such a tremendous impact on us, in terms of helping us to cease such unhealthy comparisons. Thanks!
