<description>Thanks so much for posting that Isaac Watts quote! It gave me great comfort: yesterday I did something kind of boneheaded with the very best of godly intentions, and I had been feeling really humiliated.

And even if it was boneheaded enough that I inadvertently sinned, Christ's blood is much more pleasing to the Father than my sin is offensive.

God bless you in India, and thanks again!

<description>"I am at last convinced that it is better for me to do something for God, though it be imperfect, than to be guilty of perpetual delays in hopes of better pleasing myself."

Ouch...Ouch...Ouch!!!

I needed that.

Is it not true that even when we believe that our plans to “do something for God” are all polished and ready to be pulled off they still remain “imperfect” as they are tainted by our deep-rooted depravity. Even our best still stinks of sin and needs to be perfected by our Great High Priest! Praise the Lord Jesus who “by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14

Everything I do for God is “imperfect” and needs to be perfected by Christ. O how I need to remember that as I attempt to do anything for God.

Thank you brother Isaac and thank you Bob for letting Isaac speak to us for Jesus sake.

(personal note)
I'll be praying for you to make much of Jesus Christ in India. I just got back from the Shepherds conference in California. I got to meet C.J. and gave him a big hug and expressed thanks for His commitment to make much of Jesus. I was so blessed at the conference first to hear God clearly speak to my heart from the Holy Spirit empowered teaching of the Bible and second to be surrounded by so many vessels of mercy who long by God’s grace to shepherd God’s people.

“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ” 2 Thessalonians 3:5</description>
